Our first married Christmas was very merry! We opened our gifts on Christmas Eve morning, then drove down to Temecula to spend Christmas Eve with my family. We spent the night there, then opened family gifts on Christmas morning. We also had a Chinese food feast that night to celebrate my brother’s 26th birthday–he was born on Christmas!
Having 3 dogs at my parents’ house was a little hectic, and Lucy was definitely glad when we hopped in the car after Christmas dinner and headed home. We took a day to rest, then headed down to Long Beach on the 27th to surprise my grandma by attending mass at her church. All of my grandparents’ kids were there, as were most of the cousins. Fun!
We both have the week between Christmas and New Year’s off, and we’ve spent the past few days cleaning up decorations and getting the house back in order. Robby fixed our screen doors today, and we’re planning to finish painting the baseboards this week as well. We’ll have to think of some fun things to do, too!
